Christians and Plastic Surgery - Is it Wrong, Is it a Sin?

We are all made in the image of God. But when we look different because we are born with an abnormality, or as a result of an accident many will have plastic surgery to restore their bodies to what is the "norm." We also change our appearance because we struggle with the way we look. What does God say about or bodies? Do we consult God when we want to alter our appearance. The bible does not address plastic surgery directly but we know we have been made in His image and we should be obedient to the word and at peace with whatever decisions we make. Join us as we consider what is right for each of us and why we should not judge the decisions others make.

Recover From Tragedy

How do we recover from Tragedy? In today's episode we find comfort in the Word God gives us in Romans. Knowing that told us that He is causing the good and bad, joy and the suffering to work for our good. We can only get through tragedy by the grace of God. Following His guidance and submitting our pain and fear through pair. God will accept the burden and lead us to the other side where we can live again. We have the victory through Jesus! Please allow yourself to meditate on these words in Romans and receive God's miracle of Grace to recover from tragedy.

Crisis In Ministry

In this episode we look at the crisis in ministry taking place in churches all around the world. Many Pastors are overwhelmed, lonely and depressed. Who is caring for our Pastors? They care for us but we are not caring for them. And many need mentorship and someone to confide in outside of their spouse and congregation. There are less and less people entering seminary  as Pastors. We need to care for those Pastors currently serving. Sound the alarm and shed light on this crisis in ministry and care for these Pastors who have given their lives to serve God by serving us.

Grief - Allow Yourself The Time You Need

Allow yourself the time you need to grieve. Everyone's timetable for grieving is different. Few things are as painful as losing someone you love. After such a significant loss, life may never seem quite the same again. But by allowing yourself the time to walk through your grief; in time, our Father will ease your sorrow, and you can start to look to the future, and eventually come to terms with your loss through the hope we have Christ. The hope we've been given doesn't mean we don't grieve, but grieve knowing that this is a temporary loss. We will see our loved ones again in heaven.

Christians and Infertility - How God Will Bear Fruit In Our Lives Part 2

Part 2 of my conversation with Helen Reimer. We continue our conversation surrounding how others might walk along side and pray for those struggling with infertility. And how the husband and wife will experience the journey differently but for those in a covenant marriage, they can cover each other in prayer. God loves us and wants to bless us but we don't know if that always includes children. With or without children God will bear fruit in our lives. Helen and her husband are able to enjoy a fruitful life as people who love God and know that God is with them. Helen has been honest with God in her anger and sadness and He has responded giving her a life lived with purpose and despite infertility a fruitful life engaging in passions that might never have taken place if she had children; only God knows. Being a Christian does not mean God will give us everything we ask for. Despite infertility we can all be fruitful and live lives full and joyful and glorifying God.

Please open your heart as Helen Reimer and I discuss Christians and Infertility and How God will bear fruit in our lives; through Helen's painful journey of infertility. Helen opens her heart to help all of remember to hold couples struggling with this issue in prayer. We also learn how to be mindful when talking to those Christians struggling with infertility, to be loving and open knowing words can hurt. We also see through Helen, when we hold on to our loving, sovereign God, He will bear fruit and give purpose and joy. Things that may not always come with parenting a child.

Christian Denominational Differences - A Call To Unity

Let's not allow our denominational differences hinder us from opening ourselves up to our brothers and sisters in Christ who don't hold all the same "secondary" beliefs as we hold. We are all members of the same body of Christ. When our foundational Christian beliefs are the same, why do we stumble over things which do not keeping us from loving the same God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
